Hi all. I thought that with St Andrews Day tomorrow, being the start of the winter festival which runs right up until Burns day, I would post this video of the new Homecoming Scotland ad asking Scots from around the globe to back home to Scotland to celebrate the 250Th birthday of Burns with over 200 events throughout 2009! So here's the ad here, enjoy!

A simply appalling ad which makes you want to throw something at the TV.
No imagination whatsoever - celebs and views - oh please! It is badly shot and has very bumpy sound.
Whoever put this together should be banned from any promotional work involving anything Scottish ever again.
What a waste of a golden opportunity. Homecoming 2009 is costing us a small fortune, although hopefully we will see a good return. But the way the economy is, it will be like pushing water uphill. And promotional videos like this will only make the gradient steeper.
I have just listened to Caledonia by Steve Balsamo singing with the Royal Scots Guards. Beautiful.
Now that wants me to come home.
